On July 12th, 2001, the Tokyo Local Court sentenced that the
Japanese government compensate 20 million yen to Liu Lianren.
After winning the case, Liu Huanxin (left), the son of Liu
Lianren, with his father’s portrait (Liu Lianren passed away in
Sep 2000), together with the defending group lawyers, was waving
to the sustainers outside of the Court to celebrate the success. |

The
sentence paper on the case of Liu Lianren by the Tokyo Local

2001, the Japanese government objected the sentence and appealed
