The Jilin Fengman water
power station, which was known as “First in Asia, Second in
world”, began to be built in 1937. But till Japan surrendered in
1945, the project did not finish yet. To solve the labors lack
problem, Japanese army and the puppet army deceived to impress
lots of labors from the internal barrier. According to incomplete
statistics, over 120,000 labors took part in the construction.
Dying of illness, heavy work and dying of accidents were common
occurrences. Furthermore, some labors were even killed by the
Japanese army. |
