Via Chinese News net, Aug 23rd, Beijing: The Japanese Court judged that the Japanese government compensate 45 million yen (US$375,000) to the 15 Korean labors forced by the Japanese army to work in Japan during the World War ¢ò.
These Korean are the survivals of the exploding incident of the Japanese Navy transport warship ¡°¸¡µºÍèºÅ¡±. There were about 4,000 Korean on the ship then.
Shortly after the Japan¡¯s surrender, the warship was in charge of sending about 4,000 Korean back to their homeland. On the way to Korea, the warship exploded and killed at least 524 Korean and 25 Japanese.
The judge of the Kyoto Local Court told the reporters that the Japanese government ignored the safety responsibility of transporting the Korean passengers at that time. 80 Korean survivals or the relatives of the decedents lodged the claim lawsuit in 1992.
The accusers and the other survivals condemned all the time that it was for the purposes of being afraid of the Korean resistance and destroying the evidence of crime that the Japanese government made the explode incident. But the Japanese side owed the exploding to the touching of a fish torpedo by the warship.
During the World War ¢ò, Japan had forced thousands of Korean and Chinese to Japan to undertake the kind of slave services in mines and ports. The Japanese courts are hearing many other similar claim cases now.
